Pariwisata berbasis masyarakat seperti wisata air memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan ekonomi lokal. Sayangya, kabupaten Tanggamus yang memiliki wisata air belum sepenuhnya menyadari akan potensi yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji potensi yang terdapat di dalam wisata air tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berjenis kualitatif dengan tipe studi kasus. Subjek pada penelitian ini merupakan masyarakat, perangkat desa serta tokoh di sekitar tempat wisata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan setidaknya ada tiga potensi yang bisa dikembangkan, yaitu penginapan, kuliner dan kerajinan tangan.
